Job Searching

Last Friday through Easter Sunday I was BLESSED to be invited to go camping with Teysha, Kayla, and Kays parents at Purtis Creek State Park. It was a much needed break from the city and I was beyond blessed. Im sure all were sick of hearing me say that through the weekend, but I couldnt help but remind them all of how blessed we are. When we were driving and the country started to peak its way in Tears filled my eyes. I had been longing to get away from the city and all the lights...the non-stop lights 24-7. When we parted ways I was on my way back to the city, a lone. Tears fell. This is when I started to think about looking for a job in Nacogdoches. At that moment I couldn't tell if my tears were because I realized I really was growing up, or because God intended for me to go back to East Texas. Who knows. Either way, I had a GREAT weekend, and am still maintaining a positive attitude since (3 days strong!).

Monday I went to help out a friend who works for a non-profit organization called "challenge Air" ( http://www.challengeair.com/ ) They send kids with Disabilities up in the air, and the pilot teaches the child how to fly the plane. The pilots offer their time, gasoline, and jet free of charge. This program is in place so kids with disabilities can be motivated and empowered to do anything in life. If they can fly a plane what else are they able to do! It was a long day, but MUCH better than sitting at home and doing nothing. I sent out about 150 postcards and made a spread sheet with details about other companies that have supported Challengeair. Made for an 8 hr work day. It was great to feel like I had a job for a day!

Tuesday I got to hang out with Sweet Heather and enjoyed walking around the mall with her, and smelling sweet scents at Bath and Body Works. Heather Had bought some flowers and we planted them. Heres the front porch:-) We found some pieces of wood in the shad and decided to make some ast/plant stands. The weather has been SO SO NICE!

Today I Faxed an application as a Case Worker to the Burke Center in Lufkin. I am fully qualified for this position, and have great references with Royce, and Dr. Watson. Dr. Watson is the Vice President for LOVE Inc., and Royce is the Director at GODTEL (obviously). Its totally in Gods hands. I would love to be there, but know there are pro's and con's in all things. I don't want this job if it is not what God has for me. Again I hope this is what God has for me, but so far he has protected me from much that I am unaware of. I continue to trust and seek him:-)
